Easter lily pendant in silver
This silver Easter Lily is inspired by the badge worn at Easter in remembrance of those who died during or were executed after the 1916 Easter Rising.
The Easter Lily was first introduced in 1926 by Cumann na mBan. Proceeds from the sale of the badge went to the Irish Republican Prisoners's Dependents Fund. Traditionally, they were sold outside church gates on Easter Sunday and worn at republican commemorations.
This lily remembers the women who were involved with our path to freedom and now it is seen as a symbol of hope.
