Equal Marriage passed by popular vote in Ireland

Ireland has become the first country in the world where equal marriage rights have been agreed by popular vote of the people.

This came about through the commitment and dedication of the Yes Equality campaign established by GLEN, Marriage Equality and the ICCL, which have been working for equality for LGBT people for many years. 
The Yes Equality campaign volunteers and supporters all across the country  organised into local Yes Equality groups to coordinate the campaign at grassroots level. 

The people have spoken and have demonstrated that we want to live in a more inclusive and equal Ireland.
